Reading the mail from our team was really wonderful.
How time flies!!!!!!! Is it so!!!!!!! Time never flies. It is the most democratic object in this universe. 1983 was a eventful in our family. It started with Harish's birth an event we were all looking forward to with great expectation as it was after 6 yrs of ra's marriage.
Amma was unwell and as days went by she was getting worse. We dreaded the d day although knowing fully well that it was just a matter of time. In spite of all her pain she was a very brave woman and ensured that nitya's wedding was settled. Oh gosh what a marriage it was. Full of tension and her sheer will power ensured that the wedding went off on 31st Aug. Finally the end came on 2nd sept. Who was besides her when she breathed her last at around 5 p.m? It was I who I think she loved the most (Sorry if it is true the other folks of J7 family).
The next week began with the birth of dear venky and today he is far away in the US. So three major events in our lives in a week - marriage=death-birth - The cycle of life in a full circle witnessed in our family.
For me there was another turning point - I passed the written test and was just a step away from my promotion to become an officer of SBI. The only sad part of this victory of mine was that amma was not there when the results came as she was very particular that I become an Officer in the Bank.
